If I Were The Principal Of A College

If I were the principal of a collage, my aim would be to make my college the best seat of higher education. I would start with my own self. I would try to find out my own faults and remove them. I would try to set an example for punctuality, regularity, politeness, honesty and efficiency. I would never lose my temper. All my actions would be governed by sympathy, understanding, reason and justice. I would try to make the college office quick and orderly in its work. I would see that the teaching staff is learned and painstaking. The students would be serious and studious. I would make them observe discipline, for it is the most important thing in shaping one’s life. I would see that the peons are smart, honest and obedient. The examinations in my college would be systematic and incorruptible.
I would see that my college will have a large and well organized library. The laboratories would be well equipped and up-to-date. There would be a fine botanical garden, a big play ground and well-equipped gymnasium. Character formation would be my aim. I would have perfect discipline and order at my college. Late comers, idlers, noise makers and mischief-mongers would not to be tolerated
would be fair and kind to the members of my staff. I would never put up with any staff- room politics. The atmosphere in my college would be clean, and I would not tolerate any laziness, inefficiency, or irresponsibility on the part of my staff. I would see that the teaching staff is disciplined, decent and morally sound. There would be many extracurricular activities, and the general atmosphere would be that of scholarship, culture and good fellowship. In short I would see, in every possible way, that my college be an ideal seat of learning in the area.
