A Visit To A Hospital

Last evening I came to know that my friend, shyam, was taken to hospital. As he was on his way home from the class, he was knocked down by a fast going motorcyclist. The rider had not bothered to stop and see him. However a kind passerby, a stranger, had taken him to medical college hospital. As soon as I heard the news, I rushed to the hospital.
Reaching there I saw that shyam was in the casualty ward. Fortunately, the injury he had sustained was not very serious. He was injured in the leg. Luckily it was not fractured. The doctor attending on him assured me that there was nothing to worry. I sat near my friend and inquired how it had happened. It seemed that he was much scared. I cheered him up and promising to come next Morning to take him home, I left him.
Before leaving the hospital I took a round through the corridor. There were many wards. I just peeped into them out of curiosity, and saw various types of patients, suffering from various ailments. Nurses and doctor, in their white uniform were busy, looking after them. The doctor and nurses looked like the angels of god. Then I saw a medical laboratory, the sterilizing room and the operation theater. I I saw the ward for burnt cases. I could not bear the sight, for there was much groaning and moaning. There was a strange smell in the atmosphere. I could not stand it.
After that the hospital wishing all it ailing inmates a speedy recovery. I prayed that I should never have an occasion to go to the hospital.
