Our Annual Social Gathering

  Every year our college organizes a social gathering of the students and staff. It is the most eagerly awaited event of the year, for it is a day of fun and frolic, joy and jubilation. It lasts for three to four days. The social gathering provided the students with the opportunity to show of their talent.

  This year a full four day programme was arranged. On 7^th February it was to be inaugurated. This year a leading film star was invited to inaugurate the gathering. The stage was beautifully decorated. The guest arrived exactly at the stipulated time. Our principal and the class-representative garlanded the guest. There was pin-drop silence, for all the students were eager to listen to the guest. The star spoke eloquently and advised the student to pursue their studies keenly. At the request of the audience, he presented some dialogues from his Movies. They were much applauded.

  On the second and third days of the function the senior students presented different programmes. In the variety entertainment students presented songs, fancy dresses, mimicry etc. there was much fun frolic. A final year student recited the famous speech of Mark Antony from Shakespeare Julius Caesar. Marathi and Hindi one act plays were staged. Every student was quite enthusiastic and keen to make the programme a grand success.

  The last day was the day of fishpond. It started at 10.00 am the auditorium was packed with audience, for that was the most interesting and entertaining programme. There was a loud response to every fishpond. The student roared with laughter at every comment.it was followed by the prize-distribution programme. All student who had excelled in the performances, were to be rewarded with prized. The chairman of the college committee was the chief guest at this programme. The  professor in-charge announced the names of the prizes winners. The chairman gave them the prizes and congratulated them . after that the programme ended and every one left the place in a cheerful mood. Indeed the annual gathering, this year was quite memorable. The students and staff worked hard to make the function successful having forgotten their routine.
